The measurement gap

distinct prices across 10 in-app purchases

1. Ten prices for one plan

Gymwork Pro has one name and ten prices on the US App Store. There is a $14.99 monthly plan, a $29 quarterly plan and 8 annual tiers: $22.99, $39, $47, $69, $69.99, $90, $129.99 and $138.99. The product names explain part of it, with a yearly free trial SKU and an annual plan labelled Eligible Only, which reads like a discount offered to a subset of users. The cheapest annual costs 13% of twelve monthly payments, so the monthly plan mostly serves as an anchor. Against a category annual median of $49.99, the ladder brackets the norm from both sides. For Gymwork, one plan with several annual price points and a gated discount tier gives it a way to catch hesitant buyers without building a second product.

2. Korean copy about real gyms

Korean dominates the top creatives. The most repeated line, on 6 of the 12 top ads, calls Gymwork an unlimited PT app that builds a routine only from the machines in your gym, with a trainer explaining each move and friends sharing finished workouts. The two oldest ads use shorter hooks, an app for real men at 263 days and a story about bulking up in the army at 245. A Cantonese line for beginners who do not know how to use the equipment and a Portuguese line about elite athlete programs show tests beyond Korea. All 12 are video and the median one has run 82 days. Gymwork sells the gym the user already pays for, not a generic plan, which ties the app to a cost the buyer has already accepted.

3. From 1.1K to 70K downloads

In a 107 day trend window, estimated downloads rose from 1.1K to 70K and estimated revenue from $2K to $100K, both peaking on Mar 14, 2026. The headline figures are now $200K a month from 100K downloads, 5.0x the Health & Fitness download median of 20K. The app is 62 months old, so this is a late acceleration, not a launch spike. Active Meta ads grew from 56 to 81 in the latest 37 days of tracking, with a peak of 96 on Sep 15, 2026. Estimated Meta spend is only $277.62, all in Italy, so the Meta Ad Library estimates may miss most of what the Korean ads cost. For a smaller app the takeaway is that a long quiet period can still end in a fast climb once the right market is found.

4. The measurement gap

Gymwork sells one Pro plan at ten prices, from a $22.99 year to a $138.99 year, and splits its top ads evenly between Google Play and the App Store. The question is which market, which store and which annual tier the Korean and Cantonese ads actually feed, and whether discounted Eligible Only buyers renew at full price.

How to measure a playbook like Gymwork's

Gymwork runs 81 active Meta ads, mostly in Korean, split between Google Play and the App Store, and sells 8 annual tiers. Measuring it means tying each market to the tier it buys.

  1. 01

Connect RevenueCat to see revenue by channel

Every purchase and renewal joins the install it came from, so each channel shows real revenue, not only installs.

  2. 02

    Compare markets, not only campaigns

With several price points, the same campaign earns different revenue per country. Break revenue down by country and channel together.

  3. 03

    Watch retention by channel

An annual buyer and a monthly buyer look the same at install. Retention by channel shows which source keeps paying.

How we built this teardown

  • Revenue and downloads are third-party estimates from AppKittie, snapshot Oct 16, 2026. Store intelligence estimates for a single app can be off by 30% or more. Treat them as a range, not a figure from the developer. Daily revenue and download series cover 107 days ending Mar 14, 2026.
  • Ads come from the public Meta Ad Library. "Days live" counts days since an ad first appeared. Spend and audience breakdowns start from Meta's EU transparency figures; country splits outside the EU are AppKittie models.
  • Prices, ratings and ranks come from the App Store (US storefront) on the same date. Prices differ by country and by paywall offer. Review stats use the latest 17 US reviews from Apple's public review feed.
  • Category medians are computed across 147 Health & Fitness apps with active Meta ads in our set of 860 subscription apps.
  • Written by Hyunjong Choi. Ads, prices and estimates are refreshed every 30 to 90 days. Updated Oct 19, 2026.
