1. The brand is its own top creator
Sixteen creator videos were found and 13 sampled, 7 on Instagram and 6 on TikTok, from 7 distinct creators. The most frequent account is Fitbod's own @fitbodapp with 4 of the 13, posting explainers on progressive overload, when to add a set, and the most-logged exercises of the month, with the Dumbbell Bicep Curl at 384,356 logs and the Lat Pulldown at 344,334. The outside creators are small lifters: @manimoregains tags a new PR, @arielyu.fit walks through Romanian deadlift form crediting the app, and @jk_williams_07 posts USE CODE: JILLIAN25 to get 25% off. Brand content sets the educational tone and the lifters supply proof, with one trackable code in the mix. For Fitbod, its own log data becomes content, and the one code in the sample makes that creator's effect visible in redemptions.
2. Same paragraph for 605 days
Every one of Fitbod's 13 longest-running Meta ads carries the same paragraph: break personal records and maximize your gains, let the training algorithm pick the right sets, reps and weight, open the app and start making progress. The oldest has run 605 days, the median 531, and the youngest of the 13 is 499 days old. Twelve are video and all 13 link to the App Store. Underneath that frozen top layer sit 1,500 active ads, 53.6x the category median of 28, plus 640 Apple Search Ads creatives, and the count went from 0 to 1.6K in 37 days with a Sep 19 peak. The message was settled long ago and the budget now buys footage variety. Fitbod stopped rewriting a paragraph that survived a year and spends on new clips instead.
3. Four monthly, four annual prices
Fitbod Elite is sold through 10 in-app purchases at 8 distinct prices, $7.99, $9.99, $12.99 and $15.99 a month and $49.99, $59.99, $79.99 and $95.99 a year, with Legacy Pricing SKUs still on the list. The cheapest annual plan is 52% of 12 monthly payments, so the discount is close to half, and the four annual prices sit 1.9x apart from bottom to top. That many price points suggests years of tests kept live for grandfathered users rather than a menu shown to any one person. Revenue per download is $4.65, and revenue grew 12.2% over 312 days while downloads grew 12.0%, so the ladder converts steadily. Reviews are moderate: 48 of 200 (24.0%) mention price or subscription and 29 are negative. For Fitbod, the near half-price annual does the converting, and the Legacy SKUs mostly clutter the store page.
4. The measurement gap
Fitbod runs 1,500 Meta ads on a paragraph unchanged for 605 days, 640 Apple Search Ads creatives, and a creator layer where its own account posts 4 of 13 videos and one lifter hands out JILLIAN25. All of it lands on a store page with 8 prices from $7.99 a month. The question is which input, the long-running ad, search or a creator code, produces the member who picks a $95.99 year rather than one of 215K monthly installs.

How to measure a playbook like Fitbod's
Fitbod has kept one ad paragraph alive for 605 days across 1,500 Meta ads and lets a creator hand out JILLIAN25, so the question is which input produces a paying member, not one of 215K monthly installs.

Give every creator their own tracking link
Put one link in each creator bio, caption or landing page. Installs from that link count for that creator instead of showing up as organic.

Upload what you pay each creator
Add creator fees with a CSV cost upload and use the creator name as the campaign. You get cost per install for each creator next to your paid channels.

How we built this teardown
- Revenue and downloads are third-party estimates from AppKittie, snapshot Oct 16, 2026. Store intelligence estimates for a single app can be off by 30% or more. Treat them as a range, not a figure from the developer. Daily revenue and download series cover 312 days ending Oct 18, 2026.
- Ads come from the public Meta Ad Library. "Days live" counts days since an ad first appeared. Spend and audience breakdowns start from Meta's EU transparency figures; country splits outside the EU are AppKittie models.
- Prices, ratings and ranks come from the App Store (US storefront) on the same date. Prices differ by country and by paywall offer. Review stats use the latest 200 US reviews from Apple's public review feed.
- Category medians are computed across 147 Health & Fitness apps with active Meta ads in our set of 860 subscription apps.
- Written by Hyunjong Choi. Ads, prices and estimates are refreshed every 30 to 90 days. Updated Oct 19, 2026.
