Best Trial-to-Paid Attribution for Yoga App
On this page

Trial-to-paid attribution for a yoga app should show which channel's trials turn into paying students, not only which channel starts the most trials. Look for Start Trial and Subscribe tied to the same source, plus a clear answer on how the tool treats renewals. Airbridge makes one of the tools compared, and renewals are where its Core plan has a limit you should know.

What yoga apps need from trial-to-paid attribution

A trial in a yoga app is a practice window. A person rolls out a mat, tries a few classes, and decides if the teacher, pace, and level fit their body. Often, nobody decides anything on the last day. The trial ends and the card is charged, or the person cancels the night before.

That creates a few measurement problems:

  • The result arrives late. You pay for a click today and learn the outcome after the trial ends. Any read before that date is a guess. Fast budget changes can cut a channel that was about to convert.
  • Trial quality varies by source. Someone who follows a yoga teacher already likes the style. Someone who tapped a broad social ad may only be curious. Both count as one Start Trial, and only one may pay.
  • Beginners and regular students behave differently. A chair yoga user and a daily vinyasa student want different things from the same subscription. Channel mix can shift your audience without any change in the app.
  • Interest moves with the calendar. New Year goals bring new mats out. Summer travel can quiet a habit. Comparing a January cohort with a June cohort tells you more about the season than the campaign.
  • Cancellation can come early. Store subscriptions let people turn off renewal soon after they start. A trial that shows as active may already be heading for no payment.

So the number that matters is simple to say and awkward to measure: of the trials from this channel, how many paid?

What the data shows

Bar chart of marketing channels used by yoga apps: Meta ads 17.5%, Apple Ads 15.8%, TikTok ads 0.0%, creator partnerships 36.8%, each with the 15-category average below

Bar chart of top yoga apps by estimated monthly revenue: Down Dog $400K, Daily Yoga For Beginners $370K, LazyFit $218K, Daily Yoga $100K, Glo $75K, Yoga Go $60K

This is a small set of 57 apps with "yoga" in the title, $10K+ estimated monthly revenue, and in-app purchases, from AppKittie in November 2026. Meta (17.5%), Apple Ads (15.8%), and creator partnerships (36.8%) all sit near their 15-category averages, while no app in the set shows TikTok ads (0.0%). Revenue figures are estimates, and they fall quickly from Down Dog at $400K to Glo at $75K, so many of these apps likely have little room for one bad channel decision.

How to choose

What to compare Why yoga apps should care
Source on both events Start Trial and Subscribe must point to the same channel, or the rate means nothing
Renewal handling If renewals share an event with first payments, raw counts overstate conversions
Window against trial length A window shorter than your trial can drop paid users from some reports
Paywall tool connection Your trial data already lives in RevenueCat, Adapty, or Superwall
Creator tracking Creator partnerships are the largest signal in this data, so they need their own links
Cancellation signal An early cancel warns you before the payment fails to appear

The main tradeoff is simplicity against precision. A single paid event is easy to set up, but it asks you to read reports with care. Separate events take more setup but give cleaner counts.

Competitor details come from each vendor's public pages as of November 2026. AppsFlyer says its Zero plan is not suitable for apps with paid activities.

  • Airbridge Core may suit a yoga app that wants a full trial cycle measured inside its own 30-day trial, if your app's trial is shorter than that.
  • AppsFlyer may suit a team comfortable paying $0.07 per conversion once it is on Growth.
  • Adjust may suit a team that wants RevenueCat data and will confirm pricing on its page.
  • Branch may suit a team that can start on Basics without a listed price.
  • Singular may suit a studio brand that likes a free plan first, then $0.05 per conversion.
  • Kochava may suit a team with enough revenue to justify Foundation from $500/mo.

Yoga app funnel from a teacher link click to install, free trial and paid subscription

How to set this up in Airbridge

  1. Create a Core account and install the SDK. A basic install takes about 5 minutes, and the trial needs no card.
  2. Connect your ad channels, and give each teacher or creator a tracking link.
  3. Link your subscription tool: RevenueCat, Adapty, or Superwall. See the RevenueCat guide. Trial starts arrive as Start Trial. Cancellations and auto-renew-off arrive as Unsubscribe.
  4. Build a Funnel Report with Install, Start Trial, and Subscribe, grouped by channel. Wait until a full trial has ended before you read it. The funnel walkthrough shows the steps.
  5. Open the Retention Report with Subscribe as the Return Event, to see which channels keep paying after the first charge.

What Airbridge Core does not do here

  • One event for every payment. The RevenueCat integration merges first purchase, trial conversion, and renewal into Subscribe. A raw Subscribe count is not a count of trial conversions, so read the funnel, not the total.
  • No billing issue events. Expirations and billing problems arrive as custom events, which Core cannot use. A failed charge at trial end simply shows up as no Subscribe. Refunds have no dedicated event either, though a refund-driven cancellation appears as Unsubscribe.
  • No paywall view. Core has no standard event for it. Your paywall tool measures that step.
  • Predictive LTV (pLTV) has a horizon. It runs up to day 180, stays in the dashboard, and never goes to ad networks.

If you need failed billing by channel, custom events on Growth are the path to ask about. If you must split first payments from renewals inside your attribution tool, ask Airbridge sales or another vendor before you commit. Your subscription tool's own reports may also answer both questions.

FAQ

Why is my Subscribe count higher than my trial conversions?

Subscribe includes renewals as well as first payments. An older subscriber renewing this month adds to the total, even though no trial converted. Use the funnel for conversion and treat the raw count as paid activity.

How long should I wait before judging a channel?

Wait for the full trial length, plus a few days for late billing. If your trial runs a week, a campaign from yesterday has nothing to tell you yet. Actuals only counts events inside the attribution window, so keep your trial length in mind when you read it.

Which matters more for a yoga app, trial starts or paid conversions?

Trial starts give you a fast, frequent signal. Paid conversions give you the true one, but later. Use trial starts to catch a broken campaign early, and use paid conversions to move budget.
