Why it matters

Views and clicks don't show how many became your app users.

Instagram shows you views and link clicks.

But you still can't see which creator drove installs, trials, subscriptions, and revenue.

Where to use it

Where to use Tracking Links
on Instagram

Story link sticker

The creator adds their Tracking Link as the Story's link sticker.

Every tap is followed through install, trial, subscription, and revenue.

Bio link

Give the creator a unique Tracking Link to place in their Instagram bio for the campaign.

Reels and posts that say "link in bio" send viewers here, so their taps count toward this link.

Story Highlights

Ask the creator to save the Story to a Highlight on their profile, so its link sticker keeps working after the 24 hours are up.

DM or shared link

If the creator sends your app link through DMs, give them the Tracking Link to share instead of the regular app or website URL.

Those taps are counted the same way.

Common questions

How do you track Instagram influencer marketing for an app?

Give each creator a unique Airbridge Tracking Link for their Story link sticker, bio, or DMs. When someone taps it and installs your app, Airbridge credits that install, and the trials, subscriptions, and revenue that follow, to the creator.

Can you track Instagram Stories, Reels, and bio links separately?

Stories and bio links, yes: give each one its own Tracking Link. Reels can't hold clickable links, so a Reel is measured through the bio link it sends viewers to. To see one Reel on its own, swap in a new bio link while that Reel is the creator's latest post.

Do I need a different Tracking Link for every creator?

Yes. One link per creator is what lets you see what each creator drove. If several creators share a link, their results are counted together.
