Screenshots and why they convert
5 screenshots of up to 10. The first 3 show in search results when there's no preview video.

#1In search results
1,000,000+ car enthusiasts. One app.
- What it shows
- A large “1,000,000+ car enthusiasts. One app.” line over a white car on a road, the app icon, and a laurel badge reading “600,000+ videos & photos created with Posely” with five stars.
- Why it converts
- Opens with the app's own user and output counts, which is a trust signal. It does not yet say what the app does, so a visitor has to guess from the car photo and the name.

#2In search results
Upload a photo of your car Create your rolling shoot video
- rolling shootnot in name
- car videoin name
- What it shows
- A scene picker (Highway selected), a time-of-day picker, and a video player showing a white car in motion, with a two-step caption below.
- Why it converts
- Shows the input and the result in one frame: a photo goes in, a rolling-shot video comes out. The settings let a visitor see how much control they get.

#3In search results
For your rolling shots 90+ road scenes
- rolling shotsnot in name
- road scenesnot in name
- What it shows
- A grid of cinematic rolling shots with labels such as Open Highway, Midnight Run, Tunnel Run and Autobahn, each marked VIDEO.
- Why it converts
- Names a number of scenes and shows several at once. A visitor can judge the range and the look before installing.

#4
Create a photo with the car you want
- car photoin name
- What it shows
- A Car Configurator with vehicle choices, color swatches and a production mode, under three photos of a man in and beside cars.
- Why it converts
- Shows a second use, photos instead of video, and the controls that make it yours. The sample photos show what the output looks like.

#5
Every week new videos new scenes
- new scenesnot in name
- What it shows
- A hand holding a phone with the Posely home screen: an SUVs card with a Try Now button and rows such as Your Dream Vehicle and Studio Photoshoot.
- Why it converts
- Tells the visitor the content keeps growing. The home screen shows the app is browsable, not a single trick.
Icon and design system
What makes the page read as one brand at a glance.
- 01
Printed counts as proof
The first image leads with “1,000,000+” and “600,000+” in a laurel badge. These are the app's own claims, shown large.
- 02
Red highlight bars on captions
Key phrases sit on white and red bars over a near-black background. The same device repeats, so the key words stand out.
- 03
Result shown beside the controls
Images 2 and 4 pair the settings screen with a finished car video or photo. The visitor sees both the effort and the outcome.
- 04
Captions name the use
“Rolling shoot video” and “road scenes” use words car owners use for this kind of content. They name the use, not a vague benefit.
- 05
Dark background, real car photos
Real-looking cars carry the color. The dark ground keeps the phone UI and the photos easy to separate.

Where the points are
- Ask happy users for a rating+14 pts
4.6 stars from 997 ratings. Apple's in-app rating prompt can be shown up to 3 times a year; show it right after a user finishes something in the app.
- Ship an update+3 pts
The last update was 58 days ago. A new version also refreshes the "What's New" notes people read before they download.
- Check caption terms against your subtitle and keywords
4 caption terms aren't in the app name: rolling shoot, rolling shots, road scenes, new scenes. Captions don't count for search; the subtitle and the 100-character keyword field do.
Apply it to your app
A checklist for your next product page update.
- Say what the app makes in screenshot 1, not only how many people use it.
- If you show a user count, pair it with one line on what the app does.
- Put the input and the result in the same frame.
- Use one highlight style for key phrases on every image.
- Name your use case in the words your users use.
- Show sample output, not only settings screens.
How the ASO score works
- 01
App name, 25 points
Up to 10 for how much of Apple's 30 characters it uses, 10 for a brand + keyword structure, 5 when keywords fill half the name or more.
- 02
Screenshots, 35 points
Captions on every image, captions that name searched features, a first screenshot that shows the main use, one design system, readability at search size, and a trust signal.
- 03
Ratings, 25 points
Up to 15 for the average (from 4.0, full marks at 4.8) and 10 for the count (from 1,000, full marks at 100,000 ratings).
- 04
Freshness, 15 points
Full marks for an update in the last 30 days, falling to zero at 180 days. 85+ is excellent, 70+ strong, 50+ fair.
Common questions
What is an ASO score?
A 100-point check of the parts of an App Store page you control: the app name, screenshots, ratings and how recently the app was updated. It's our own scoring rule, shown in full on this page, not a number from Apple. Use it to compare your page with apps that already sell well in your category.
How long can an app name be on the App Store?
30 characters. A common pattern is a short brand followed by the main thing people search for, like “Posely: AI Car Photo & Video”, which uses 28. Apple also gives you a 30-character subtitle and a 100-character keyword field for more terms.
Which screenshots show up in App Store search results?
The first one to three, when the app has no preview video. That's why the first three should cover the main reasons people download. Posely uses them for rolling shoot and rolling shots.
How many screenshots can an iPhone app have?
Up to 10 per device size. Apple recommends focusing each screenshot after the first on one main benefit or feature. Posely uses 5.
Where do the download and revenue numbers come from?
They're third-party estimates for the US App Store, not figures reported by the developer. Treat them as a sense of scale. Growth compares the latest month with the month before.
Do screenshot captions help an app rank in search?
Apple says search results use text matches in the app name, subtitle, keywords and primary category, plus user behavior such as downloads, ratings and reviews. Captions aren't on that list: they help people who already see the app decide to download. When a caption names something people search for, put that term in the keyword field too.
Where the numbers come from
- Apple: Creating your product page
- App name limit (30 characters), up to 10 screenshots, the first one to three shown in search results, keyword field.
- Apple: App Store search
- Search results use text relevance (name, subtitle, keywords, primary category) and user behavior (downloads, ratings, reviews).
- Apple: Ratings, reviews and responses
- The in-app rating prompt can be shown up to three times in a 365-day period.
- Posely: AI Car Photo & Video on the App Store
- Name, developer, category, icon, screenshots, rating, release and update dates (US storefront), checked Nov 4, 2026.
- Downloads and revenue
- Third-party est. for the US App Store, latest month, pulled Oct 29, 2026. Not reported by the developer.
