Screenshots and why they convert
6 screenshots of up to 10. The first 3 show in search results when there's no preview video.

#1In search results
Your photos and videos are automatically backed up, freeing up space on your phone.
- backed upnot in name
- photos and videosnot in name
- What it shows
- A phone with a photo grid under a Photos tab, inside a colorful house-shaped outline.
- Why it converts
- The caption states the core job and the benefit: backup that frees phone space. The photo grid shows the app in use. The caption is long, and the text is small at thumbnail size.

#2In search results
Search by people, places and things, find your memories easily.
- search by peoplenot in name
- memoriesnot in name
- What it shows
- The For You tab with rows of people, places and things, each shown as a photo tile or round portrait.
- Why it converts
- It sells a second reason to keep photos here: finding them later. The caption names how you search, which is a concrete use case.

#3In search results
Securely back up your contacts and restore them on any device.
- back up contactsnot in name
- restorenot in name
- What it shows
- The Contacts tab with a “Back up Now” button, a count of 1072 contacts and a last backup date.
- Why it converts
- It widens the promise from photos to contacts. “Restore on any device” answers a worry a buyer may have about switching phones. “Securely” is the app's own claim.

#4
Back up all your documents, not just your photos.
- back up documentsnot in name
- What it shows
- The Files tab with a list of documents, spreadsheets and PDFs, and Documents, Favorites and Trash Bin tabs.
- Why it converts
- The contrast phrase “not just your photos” sets the app apart from a photo-only backup. The caption is short and easy to read.

#5
Get ready for likes with the PhotoPick feature.
- photopicknot in name
- What it shows
- A PhotoPick screen with a picked portrait, a score badge, hashtag chips and a “Share on Social Media!” button.
- Why it converts
- It shows a feature that goes beyond storage, aimed at people who post photos. “PhotoPick” is a brand term, so few visitors will recognize it. Hashtag chips make the screen busy.

#6
Discover special offers and new opportunities.
- What it shows
- The Discover tab with a storage offer (+250 GB, first month free, 29.99 TRY/month) and an invite banner with two people.
- Why it converts
- It is a vague caption with no named use case. The offer card shows a price and a free first month, but the screen reads as a promotion, not a benefit. The banner text is in Turkish while the caption is in English.
Icon and design system
What makes the page read as one brand at a glance.
- 01
Full-sentence captions
The captions are plain sentences in the same black type. They are clear but long, and the text is small when the image shrinks.
- 02
Mostly one tab per screenshot
Photos, For You, Contacts, Files and Discover each get one image, so the gallery works as a tour of the app.
- 03
Same frame on most images
Most images use a white background, a caption at the top, a phone below it and a gradient house outline behind. Swiping feels like one set, and the outline repeats the icon's colors.
- 04
Backup widens from photos to everything
The first image leads with photos and videos. Later images add contacts and documents, and the document caption says “not just your photos” outright.
- 05
Real-looking content in the UI
Photos, portraits, contact counts and file names fill the screens, so the app looks in use. Some banner text is in Turkish.

Where the points are
- Ask happy users for a rating+14 pts
4.6 stars from 529 ratings. Apple's in-app rating prompt can be shown up to 3 times a year; show it right after a user finishes something in the app.
- Use the rest of the app name+2 pts
5 characters are free. Add the next most important search term.
- Check caption terms against your subtitle and keywords
8 caption terms aren't in the app name: backed up, photos and videos, search by people, memories, back up contacts, restore, back up documents, photopick. Captions don't count for search; the subtitle and the 100-character keyword field do.
Apply it to your app
A checklist for your next product page update.
- Put the main job and its benefit in the first caption, as a user would say it.
- Use the words your users use in the caption, such as photos, contacts or documents.
- Cut captions to a few words, or set them larger, so they read when the image is small.
- Use a contrast line like “not just your photos” to set your app apart from a narrower one.
- Match the screenshot colors to the icon so the page looks like one brand.
- Write captions about what the user gets, not about a brand-named feature or a promotion.
How the ASO score works
- 01
App name, 25 points
Up to 10 for how much of Apple's 30 characters it uses, 10 for a brand + keyword structure, 5 when keywords fill half the name or more.
- 02
Screenshots, 35 points
Captions on every image, captions that name searched features, a first screenshot that shows the main use, one design system, readability at search size, and a trust signal.
- 03
Ratings, 25 points
Up to 15 for the average (from 4.0, full marks at 4.8) and 10 for the count (from 1,000, full marks at 100,000 ratings).
- 04
Freshness, 15 points
Full marks for an update in the last 30 days, falling to zero at 180 days. 85+ is excellent, 70+ strong, 50+ fair.
Common questions
What is an ASO score?
A 100-point check of the parts of an App Store page you control: the app name, screenshots, ratings and how recently the app was updated. It's our own scoring rule, shown in full on this page, not a number from Apple. Use it to compare your page with apps that already sell well in your category.
How long can an app name be on the App Store?
30 characters. A common pattern is a short brand followed by the main thing people search for, like “Lifebox: Storage & Backup”, which uses 25. Apple also gives you a 30-character subtitle and a 100-character keyword field for more terms.
Which screenshots show up in App Store search results?
The first one to three, when the app has no preview video. That's why the first three should cover the main reasons people download. Lifebox uses them for backed up, search by people and back up contacts.
How many screenshots can an iPhone app have?
Up to 10 per device size. Apple recommends focusing each screenshot after the first on one main benefit or feature. Lifebox uses 6.
Where do the download and revenue numbers come from?
They're third-party estimates for the US App Store, not figures reported by the developer. Treat them as a sense of scale. Growth compares the latest month with the month before.
Do screenshot captions help an app rank in search?
Apple says search results use text matches in the app name, subtitle, keywords and primary category, plus user behavior such as downloads, ratings and reviews. Captions aren't on that list: they help people who already see the app decide to download. When a caption names something people search for, put that term in the keyword field too.
Where the numbers come from
- Apple: Creating your product page
- App name limit (30 characters), up to 10 screenshots, the first one to three shown in search results, keyword field.
- Apple: App Store search
- Search results use text relevance (name, subtitle, keywords, primary category) and user behavior (downloads, ratings, reviews).
- Apple: Ratings, reviews and responses
- The in-app rating prompt can be shown up to three times in a 365-day period.
- Lifebox: Storage & Backup on the App Store
- Name, developer, category, icon, screenshots, rating, release and update dates (US storefront), checked Nov 4, 2026.
- Downloads and revenue
- Third-party est. for the US App Store, latest month, pulled Oct 29, 2026. Not reported by the developer.
