Screenshots and why they convert
6 screenshots of up to 10. The first 3 show in search results when there's no preview video.

#1In search results
It's a Match
- What it shows
- A phone showing an “It's a Match” heart graphic, two profile cards with green check badges, and a “Find Your Match Now” button.
- Why it converts
- Shows the moment the app promises, a match, before any menu or setup screen. The profile cards and the button make the purpose clear, but the screenshot has no app name or category word.

#2In search results
Meet Filipino Singles
- filipino singlesnot in name
- What it shows
- A large headline over a coral background, a “Trusted by 5 million users” laurel badge, and the FilipinoCupid logo. The phone is cropped at the left edge.
- Why it converts
- Names the audience in the caption, so people looking for Filipino dating know it is for them. The image also carries a user count and the logo.

#3In search results
Don't wait for a match, chat instantly
- chatnot in name
- What it shows
- A chat screen with a woman's profile header and a short conversation about sports.
- Why it converts
- Shows what happens after a match, with a real-looking conversation. The caption sells speed, a benefit, and the chat is easy to read.

#4
Make a perfect match in a few swipes
- matchnot in name
- What it shows
- The home screen with filter tabs (Matches, Online, Popular, Newest, Latest Photos) and a large profile card with a New tag and heart and chat buttons.
- Why it converts
- Shows how browsing works: big photo, one tap to like or chat. The tab row hints at ways to filter without needing a long caption.

#5
Verified accounts for safe connections
- verified accountsnot in name
- What it shows
- A collage of six portrait photos with a green shield and check mark.
- Why it converts
- Puts a verification claim on its own image. “Safe connections” is the app's own wording. Photos lead, but the image shows no screen of the app.

#6
Chat and date within your area & worldwide
- chatnot in name
- datenot in name
- What it shows
- The browse screen with the “In My Area” tab selected and a large profile card, plus other tabs such as Mutual Matches and Reverse matches.
- Why it converts
- Closes on reach: local and worldwide. It repeats the browse screen, so the set ends on a layout the visitor has already seen.
Icon and design system
What makes the page read as one brand at a glance.
- 01
Large captions on a coral field
White headlines with one or two words in maroon or in white tags.
- 02
One idea per image
Match, audience, chat, browse, verification and reach each get their own image, in that order.
- 03
Trust signals as separate claims
A “Trusted by 5 million users” badge and a verified-accounts image carry the app's own claims. They are quoted from the images, not checked here.
- 04
Real UI inside the phone frame
The chat and browse screens show real layouts. The app header and tab row use the same maroon as the icon.
- 05
People are the main visual
Most images lead with profile photos. The ones with a phone also show the app screen around them.

Where the points are
- Ask happy users for a rating+7 pts
4.6 stars from 20,400 ratings. Apple's in-app rating prompt can be shown up to 3 times a year; show it right after a user finishes something in the app.
- Check caption terms against your subtitle and keywords
5 caption terms aren't in the app name: filipino singles, chat, match, verified accounts, date. Captions don't count for search; the subtitle and the 100-character keyword field do.
Apply it to your app
A checklist for your next product page update.
- Show the moment your app delivers in screenshot 1, not a menu or a setup step.
- Name your audience in a caption, so the right person sees themselves.
- Give each trust claim one clear line, and make sure it is true.
- Use large captions with one highlighted phrase, so they read at thumbnail size.
- Pick one brand color and use it in the icon, captions and in-app UI.
- Show the app screen in more than one image, so visitors see what they will use.
How the ASO score works
- 01
App name, 25 points
Up to 10 for how much of Apple's 30 characters it uses, 10 for a brand + keyword structure, 5 when keywords fill half the name or more.
- 02
Screenshots, 35 points
Captions on every image, captions that name searched features, a first screenshot that shows the main use, one design system, readability at search size, and a trust signal.
- 03
Ratings, 25 points
Up to 15 for the average (from 4.0, full marks at 4.8) and 10 for the count (from 1,000, full marks at 100,000 ratings).
- 04
Freshness, 15 points
Full marks for an update in the last 30 days, falling to zero at 180 days. 85+ is excellent, 70+ strong, 50+ fair.
Common questions
What is an ASO score?
A 100-point check of the parts of an App Store page you control: the app name, screenshots, ratings and how recently the app was updated. It's our own scoring rule, shown in full on this page, not a number from Apple. Use it to compare your page with apps that already sell well in your category.
How long can an app name be on the App Store?
30 characters. A common pattern is a short brand followed by the main thing people search for, like “FilipinoCupid: Filipino Dating”, which uses 30. Apple also gives you a 30-character subtitle and a 100-character keyword field for more terms.
Which screenshots show up in App Store search results?
The first one to three, when the app has no preview video. That's why the first three should cover the main reasons people download. FilipinoCupid uses them for filipino singles and chat.
How many screenshots can an iPhone app have?
Up to 10 per device size. Apple recommends focusing each screenshot after the first on one main benefit or feature. FilipinoCupid uses 6.
Where do the download and revenue numbers come from?
They're third-party estimates for the US App Store, not figures reported by the developer. Treat them as a sense of scale. Growth compares the latest month with the month before.
Do screenshot captions help an app rank in search?
Apple says search results use text matches in the app name, subtitle, keywords and primary category, plus user behavior such as downloads, ratings and reviews. Captions aren't on that list: they help people who already see the app decide to download. When a caption names something people search for, put that term in the keyword field too.
Where the numbers come from
- Apple: Creating your product page
- App name limit (30 characters), up to 10 screenshots, the first one to three shown in search results, keyword field.
- Apple: App Store search
- Search results use text relevance (name, subtitle, keywords, primary category) and user behavior (downloads, ratings, reviews).
- Apple: Ratings, reviews and responses
- The in-app rating prompt can be shown up to three times in a 365-day period.
- FilipinoCupid: Filipino Dating on the App Store
- Name, developer, category, icon, screenshots, rating, release and update dates (US storefront), checked Nov 4, 2026.
- Downloads and revenue
- Third-party est. for the US App Store, latest month, pulled Oct 29, 2026. Not reported by the developer.
