Screenshots and why they convert
5 screenshots of up to 10. The first 3 show in search results when there's no preview video.

#1In search results
Transform your life, in just a few minutes a day.
- What it shows
- A greeting card reading “For Helena, Your morning inner peace” with a line drawing of a person in a meditation pose, and the evolum logo above the caption.
- Why it converts
- Names the outcome and the small time cost in one line. The screen shows a personal morning session, but it never says the app is for meditation or yoga, so the visitor relies on the name for that.

#2In search results
Achieve peace, your way.
- What it shows
- A full-height card with the word “Inhale” in the middle and soft orange and purple gradient shapes at the top and bottom.
- Why it converts
- Shows a guided breathing moment in the brand colors. The caption is a general promise, so it adds little beyond the mood.

#3In search results
Tailored content. For you.
- tailored contentnot in name
- What it shows
- Content cards such as “Visualize your charisma” (meditation, 8 min), an “SOS: Receive immediate support” row, “Your custom rituals” and a box to write your feelings.
- Why it converts
- Points to personal content and a quick-help option. The card text is busy at thumbnail size.

#4
Hundreds of accessible content pieces.
- content librarynot in name
- What it shows
- A library screen with categories (Let It Go, Morning, SOS, Sleep, Concentration), two assistants and “Rituals of the week”.
- Why it converts
- Shows breadth of content with named categories a visitor can match to their own need. Sleep and concentration are things people look for.

#5
Over 500,000 users transformed.
- 500,000 usersnot in name
- What it shows
- A profile screen for Helena with rituals, weekly goal and series at zero, a vision of life, objectives (Find Love, Maximal Energy, Charisma) and a “Start exploring” button.
- Why it converts
- Carries a user count claim printed on the image, quoted as the app's own claim. It sits last, and the screen is a profile with series at zero.
Icon and design system
What makes the page read as one brand at a glance.
- 01
Short dark caption on cream
Most images have a two-line caption in dark type on a cream or tan background. The contrast is high and the text stays readable when small.
- 02
Brand colors and shapes repeat
Tan arcs, peach cards and the purple-orange gradient appear across the set and match the icon. The set reads as one system.
- 03
Captions are general promises
“Achieve peace, your way” and “Tailored content. For you.” could fit many wellness apps. Few captions name a specific use.
- 04
UI screens carry small text
Cards, categories and profile fields are set in small type inside the phone. The caption has to do the work at search-result size.
- 05
User count placed last
The only trust signal is a printed user count in the final image. Visitors who do not swipe that far will not see it.

Where the points are
- Ask happy users for a rating+10 pts
5.0 stars from 27 ratings. Apple's in-app rating prompt can be shown up to 3 times a year; show it right after a user finishes something in the app.
- Check caption terms against your subtitle and keywords
3 caption terms aren't in the app name: tailored content, content library, 500,000 users. Captions don't count for search; the subtitle and the 100-character keyword field do.
Apply it to your app
A checklist for your next product page update.
- Say what the app does in screenshot 1, not only the result you promise.
- Name a specific use or need in captions, such as sleep or stress, instead of a general mood line.
- Move a user count or other proof earlier if you have one.
- Keep the caption large and the in-phone text minimal so it reads as a thumbnail.
- Reuse the icon's colors and shapes across the gallery.
- Show a screen with real content in the last image, not a profile with no progress.
How the ASO score works
- 01
App name, 25 points
Up to 10 for how much of Apple's 30 characters it uses, 10 for a brand + keyword structure, 5 when keywords fill half the name or more.
- 02
Screenshots, 35 points
Captions on every image, captions that name searched features, a first screenshot that shows the main use, one design system, readability at search size, and a trust signal.
- 03
Ratings, 25 points
Up to 15 for the average (from 4.0, full marks at 4.8) and 10 for the count (from 1,000, full marks at 100,000 ratings).
- 04
Freshness, 15 points
Full marks for an update in the last 30 days, falling to zero at 180 days. 85+ is excellent, 70+ strong, 50+ fair.
Common questions
What is an ASO score?
A 100-point check of the parts of an App Store page you control: the app name, screenshots, ratings and how recently the app was updated. It's our own scoring rule, shown in full on this page, not a number from Apple. Use it to compare your page with apps that already sell well in your category.
How long can an app name be on the App Store?
30 characters. A common pattern is a short brand followed by the main thing people search for, like “evolum - Meditation & Yoga”, which uses 26. Apple also gives you a 30-character subtitle and a 100-character keyword field for more terms.
Which screenshots show up in App Store search results?
The first one to three, when the app has no preview video. That's why the first three should cover the main reasons people download. evolum uses them for tailored content.
How many screenshots can an iPhone app have?
Up to 10 per device size. Apple recommends focusing each screenshot after the first on one main benefit or feature. evolum uses 5.
Where do the download and revenue numbers come from?
They're third-party estimates for the US App Store, not figures reported by the developer. Treat them as a sense of scale. Growth compares the latest month with the month before.
Do screenshot captions help an app rank in search?
Apple says search results use text matches in the app name, subtitle, keywords and primary category, plus user behavior such as downloads, ratings and reviews. Captions aren't on that list: they help people who already see the app decide to download. When a caption names something people search for, put that term in the keyword field too.
Where the numbers come from
- Apple: Creating your product page
- App name limit (30 characters), up to 10 screenshots, the first one to three shown in search results, keyword field.
- Apple: App Store search
- Search results use text relevance (name, subtitle, keywords, primary category) and user behavior (downloads, ratings, reviews).
- Apple: Ratings, reviews and responses
- The in-app rating prompt can be shown up to three times in a 365-day period.
- evolum - Meditation & Yoga on the App Store
- Name, developer, category, icon, screenshots, rating, release and update dates (US storefront), checked Nov 4, 2026.
- Downloads and revenue
- Third-party est. for the US App Store, latest month, pulled Oct 29, 2026. Not reported by the developer.
