Screenshots and why they convert
5 screenshots of up to 10. The first 3 show in search results when there's no preview video.

#1In search results
FIRST AI VIDEO AGENT
- ai video agentin name
- What it shows
- A photo of three friends in a close selfie, with the line “Elva, make a weekend story...” and a round voice button at the bottom.
- Why it converts
- Names the app type in the first words and shows the voice request that starts it. A reader can tell it is an AI tool for making videos. “First” is the app's own claim.

#2In search results
CREATE VIDEO IN SECONDS
- create videonot in name
- What it shows
- A chat panel over a travel photo. The user asks for a cinematic travel reel with slow motion and soft piano music, and Elva replies “Sure! Great shots!”
- Why it converts
- Shows what a request looks like in plain words, so the visitor sees how little they need to do. “In seconds” is the app's own claim.

#3In search results
JUST USING YOUR VOICE
- What it shows
- A laughing couple on a city street inside a phone frame, with a Webby Awards badge and a “#1 AI Video Agent” badge below.
- Why it converts
- Answers how it works with a short phrase. The two badges are the app's own claims, placed where they are easy to see on a busy photo.

#4
YOU FILM LIFE ELVA MAKES MOVIE
- movienot in name
- What it shows
- Four phone-shaped tiles of beach scenes labeled Version 01 to Version 04.
- Why it converts
- Shows output, not a screen of controls. The version labels hint that one set of clips can become several edits.

#5
YOU SHOOT ELVA MAKES IT CINEMATIC
- cinematicnot in name
- What it shows
- A close portrait of a woman in a phone frame, with the greeting “Welcome back! Let's create a new video for you!” and a prompt bar.
- Why it converts
- Splits the job into two steps: you shoot, the app edits. The prompt bar shows where a visitor would begin.
Icon and design system
What makes the page read as one brand at a glance.
- 01
Short all-caps captions
Each caption is two lines of wide white capitals at the top. They are large and short, so they stay readable when the image is small.
- 02
Real photos in a phone frame
Most images use full-bleed people photos inside a glass-edged phone frame. The photos show the kind of moments people film, not menus.
- 03
Dark background across the set
Most images sit on a near-black field. Swiping feels like one set.
- 04
Chat prompts show the input
Some images show a text bar or a typed request. The visitor sees that you tell the app what you want, then it edits.
- 05
Badges on one image
A Webby Awards badge and a “#1 AI Video Agent” badge appear on the third image, not the first. These are the app's own printed claims.

Where the points are
- Ask happy users for a rating+23 pts
4.1 stars from 392 ratings. Apple's in-app rating prompt can be shown up to 3 times a year; show it right after a user finishes something in the app.
- Check caption terms against your subtitle and keywords
3 caption terms aren't in the app name: create video, movie, cinematic. Captions don't count for search; the subtitle and the 100-character keyword field do.
Apply it to your app
A checklist for your next product page update.
- Name what your app is in the first caption, in the words your users use.
- Show the input and the result, so a visitor sees what they do and what they get.
- Keep captions to a few big words in the same spot on every image.
- Use real scenes of your users' moments instead of empty interface screens.
- Put any award or rank badge where it is easy to see, and keep it to claims you can back up.
- Pick an icon with one shape, and let the name and screenshots explain what it does.
How the ASO score works
- 01
App name, 25 points
Up to 10 for how much of Apple's 30 characters it uses, 10 for a brand + keyword structure, 5 when keywords fill half the name or more.
- 02
Screenshots, 35 points
Captions on every image, captions that name searched features, a first screenshot that shows the main use, one design system, readability at search size, and a trust signal.
- 03
Ratings, 25 points
Up to 15 for the average (from 4.0, full marks at 4.8) and 10 for the count (from 1,000, full marks at 100,000 ratings).
- 04
Freshness, 15 points
Full marks for an update in the last 30 days, falling to zero at 180 days. 85+ is excellent, 70+ strong, 50+ fair.
Common questions
What is an ASO score?
A 100-point check of the parts of an App Store page you control: the app name, screenshots, ratings and how recently the app was updated. It's our own scoring rule, shown in full on this page, not a number from Apple. Use it to compare your page with apps that already sell well in your category.
How long can an app name be on the App Store?
30 characters. A common pattern is a short brand followed by the main thing people search for, like “Elva: AI Video Director Agent”, which uses 29. Apple also gives you a 30-character subtitle and a 100-character keyword field for more terms.
Which screenshots show up in App Store search results?
The first one to three, when the app has no preview video. That's why the first three should cover the main reasons people download. Elva uses them for ai video agent and create video.
How many screenshots can an iPhone app have?
Up to 10 per device size. Apple recommends focusing each screenshot after the first on one main benefit or feature. Elva uses 5.
Where do the download and revenue numbers come from?
They're third-party estimates for the US App Store, not figures reported by the developer. Treat them as a sense of scale. Growth compares the latest month with the month before.
Do screenshot captions help an app rank in search?
Apple says search results use text matches in the app name, subtitle, keywords and primary category, plus user behavior such as downloads, ratings and reviews. Captions aren't on that list: they help people who already see the app decide to download. When a caption names something people search for, put that term in the keyword field too.
Where the numbers come from
- Apple: Creating your product page
- App name limit (30 characters), up to 10 screenshots, the first one to three shown in search results, keyword field.
- Apple: App Store search
- Search results use text relevance (name, subtitle, keywords, primary category) and user behavior (downloads, ratings, reviews).
- Apple: Ratings, reviews and responses
- The in-app rating prompt can be shown up to three times in a 365-day period.
- Elva: AI Video Director Agent on the App Store
- Name, developer, category, icon, screenshots, rating, release and update dates (US storefront), checked Nov 4, 2026.
- Downloads and revenue
- Third-party est. for the US App Store, latest month, pulled Oct 29, 2026. Not reported by the developer.
