Screenshots and why they convert
10 screenshots of up to 10, the first 6 shown here. The first 3 show in search results when there's no preview video.

Where Islamic Values and True Love Meet
- What it shows
- A welcome card with a 3D character, floating gold rings, a language picker, a Skip link and the text “The Halal marriage app for Muslims.”
- Why it converts
- The headline states a mood, not a use. The words that say what the app is sit at the bottom of the card, and a Skip link marks this as an onboarding screen.

Answer The Questions Tailored To Our Values
- What it shows
- A questionnaire screen: “When do you plan on getting married?” with three answer choices, a progress bar and Back and Continue buttons.
- Why it converts
- Shows how a new user gets started, and the question itself tells a visitor this is for people who want to marry. The screen is a setup step rather than a result.

#3In search results
Like Matches That matter to YOU
- What it shows
- A matches screen with a large profile card and a smaller card on top. Photos are blurred. Each card shows a name, age, country, city and a short About Me, with like, pass and chat buttons.
- Why it converts
- This is the core browse-and-like action, and it speaks to the visitor with “YOU”. The blurred photos fit the app's privacy feel, and the layered cards give some depth. The UI text is small.

#4
Free Chat with Mutual Likes
- free chatnot in name
- What it shows
- An “It's a Match!” pop-up with two photos side by side, one blurred, and Chat and Later buttons.
- Why it converts
- A short, clear benefit: chat is free once both people like each other. The match moment is the payoff a dating-style app sells. “Free” is a feature people look for.

#5
Send photos, voice notes stickers, and More!
- voice notesnot in name
- stickersnot in name
- What it shows
- A chat screen with text messages, a voice note, an emoji reaction bar, a safety reminder about contact details and a Hide messages button.
- Why it converts
- Lists what chat can do in the caption, so the visitor sees it is more than text. The caption is a feature list, not a benefit, and the long first line is hard to read at small size.

#6
Hire a real Khattaba Get married faster!
- khattabanot in name
- What it shows
- A Khattabat Services screen with a video thumbnail, “Human Matchmaking” and “Trusted Process” tags, an Apply Now button and three printed stats: 9x faster matching, 92% success rate, 98% client satisfaction.
- Why it converts
- Puts a human matchmaker option next to the app. The printed stats are the app's own claims and no source is named. This is the first place a trust signal shows, and it comes late in the set.
Icon and design system
What makes the page read as one brand at a glance.
- 01
Two-tone captions
A white first line and a teal second line on a purple gradient. The second line holds the benefit or the twist.
- 02
Same frame across most images
Most images use the same purple background and a white app card that runs off the bottom edge. Swiping feels like one set.
- 03
A user journey in order
The set goes from setup questions to browsing, a match, chat and a human matchmaker.
- 04
Blurred photos
Profile pictures are blurred on the matches and match pop-up screens.
- 05
Late proof
The only printed stats appear in the last image. A visitor who stops early may not see them.

Where the points are
- Ask happy users for a rating+14 pts
4.3 stars from 12,850 ratings. Apple's in-app rating prompt can be shown up to 3 times a year; show it right after a user finishes something in the app.
- Check caption terms against your subtitle and keywords
4 caption terms aren't in the app name: free chat, voice notes, stickers, khattaba. Captions don't count for search; the subtitle and the 100-character keyword field do.
Apply it to your app
A checklist for your next product page update.
- Open with the app in use, not a welcome screen.
- Put the words that name your category in the first caption, in large type.
- Write captions as benefits for the visitor, in “you” language.
- Keep caption lines short so they read at thumbnail size.
- Move your strongest proof, such as a rating or user count, to the first images.
- Name the source of any figure you print, or leave it out.
How the ASO score works
- 01
App name, 25 points
Up to 10 for how much of Apple's 30 characters it uses, 10 for a brand + keyword structure, 5 when keywords fill half the name or more.
- 02
Screenshots, 35 points
Captions on every image, captions that name searched features, a first screenshot that shows the main use, one design system, readability at search size, and a trust signal.
- 03
Ratings, 25 points
Up to 15 for the average (from 4.0, full marks at 4.8) and 10 for the count (from 1,000, full marks at 100,000 ratings).
- 04
Freshness, 15 points
Full marks for an update in the last 30 days, falling to zero at 180 days. 85+ is excellent, 70+ strong, 50+ fair.
Common questions
What is an ASO score?
A 100-point check of the parts of an App Store page you control: the app name, screenshots, ratings and how recently the app was updated. It's our own scoring rule, shown in full on this page, not a number from Apple. Use it to compare your page with apps that already sell well in your category.
How long can an app name be on the App Store?
30 characters. A common pattern is a short brand followed by the main thing people search for, like “AlKhattaba - Muslim Marriage”, which uses 28. Apple also gives you a 30-character subtitle and a 100-character keyword field for more terms.
Which screenshots show up in App Store search results?
The first one to three, when the app has no preview video. That's why the first three should cover the main reasons people download.
How many screenshots can an iPhone app have?
Up to 10 per device size. Apple recommends focusing each screenshot after the first on one main benefit or feature. AlKhattaba uses 10.
Where do the download and revenue numbers come from?
They're third-party estimates for the US App Store, not figures reported by the developer. Treat them as a sense of scale. Growth compares the latest month with the month before.
Do screenshot captions help an app rank in search?
Apple says search results use text matches in the app name, subtitle, keywords and primary category, plus user behavior such as downloads, ratings and reviews. Captions aren't on that list: they help people who already see the app decide to download. When a caption names something people search for, put that term in the keyword field too.
Where the numbers come from
- Apple: Creating your product page
- App name limit (30 characters), up to 10 screenshots, the first one to three shown in search results, keyword field.
- Apple: App Store search
- Search results use text relevance (name, subtitle, keywords, primary category) and user behavior (downloads, ratings, reviews).
- Apple: Ratings, reviews and responses
- The in-app rating prompt can be shown up to three times in a 365-day period.
- AlKhattaba - Muslim Marriage on the App Store
- Name, developer, category, icon, screenshots, rating, release and update dates (US storefront), checked Nov 4, 2026.
- Downloads and revenue
- Third-party est. for the US App Store, latest month, pulled Oct 29, 2026. Not reported by the developer.
