    AI VIDEO GENERATOR

    • ai video generatorin name
    What it shows
A collage of smiling people in different places, with a main photo of a woman in a convertible making a peace sign.
    Why it converts
Names the app's job in plain words on the first image. The photo grid shows the kind of result before any interface appears, so a visitor knows what they would make.
  2. #2In search results

    Create Viral Stunning AI Videos

    • ai videosnot in name
    What it shows
A small “Before” selfie in the corner and a dramatic result: a person on a jet ski with a shark behind them. Share and Save buttons sit at the bottom.
    Why it converts
The Before and After pair shows the change in one frame. The Share and Save buttons hint at the next step. “Viral” is the app's own claim.
  3. #3In search results

    Try Various Amazing Effects

    • effectsnot in name
    What it shows
A Before selfie and a result of a man appearing to fly over a city street at dusk, with Share and Save buttons.
    Why it converts
Shows that one photo can become different scenes.
  4. #4

Create Trending AI Fan Cam Videos

    • ai fan camnot in name
    What it shows
A Before photo and a result of a woman in a baseball jersey in a stadium seat, with a play button on the video.
    Why it converts
Names a specific format people may look for. The play button shows the result is a moving video, not a still.
  5. #5

    Create Dancing AI Baby Videos

    • ai baby videosnot in name
    What it shows
A Before photo of a baby and a result of the baby dancing in a kitchen, with a play button.
    Why it converts
Gives a concrete use case that a parent can picture. A narrow caption speaks to one group of visitors.
  6. #6

    Join Viral AI Dance Trends

    • ai dancenot in name
    What it shows
An older man dancing on a sidewalk with a Before inset, a play button, and a row of dance style chips such as “No Batidão”, “Bombale” and “Gangste”.
    Why it converts
The chips show that a dance style can be picked, which is the first look at controls in the set. “Join” frames it as a trend the visitor can be part of.

Icon and design system

What makes the page read as one brand at a glance.

120px
60px
40px
  • One shape, an open ring in a single gradient, with no text.
  • The purple, pink and orange gradient matches the glowing caption bars in the screenshots, so icon and gallery share one look.
  • The ring has no hint of video or AI, so the name and the first screenshot must explain the app.
  1. 01

Before and After in most demos

A small Before photo sits in the corner of most results. The visitor sees the input and the output without reading anything.

  2. 02

Two-line captions with a glowing bar

A thin white verb line, then the key word in bold white inside a gradient bar. The bar draws the eye to the feature name.

  3. 03

One use case per screenshot after the first

Viral clips, effects, fan cam, baby dance and dance trends each get one image. Each names a format people look for.

  4. 04

    Similar layout across the set

Most images have a dark background, a caption on top and a phone frame; some add Share and Save buttons below. Swiping reads as one set.

  5. 05

    Results over interface

The screenshots show finished videos, not menus. The only control shown is the row of dance chips on the last image.

Where the points are

  1. Ask happy users for a rating+19 pts

4.3 stars from 640 ratings. Apple's in-app rating prompt can be shown up to 3 times a year; show it right after a user finishes something in the app.

  2. Check caption terms against your subtitle and keywords

5 caption terms aren't in the app name: ai videos, effects, ai fan cam, ai baby videos, ai dance. Captions don't count for search; the subtitle and the 100-character keyword field do.

Apply it to your app

A checklist for your next product page update.

  • Name the app's job in plain words in screenshot 1.
  • Show the input next to the output when your app transforms something.
  • Give each screenshot one use case that your users want.
  • Put the words your users use in the large part of the caption.
  • Keep one layout and one color system across every image.
  • If your app has proof such as a rating or press mention, show it near the front.
How it works

How the ASO score works

  1. 01

    App name, 25 points

Up to 10 for how much of Apple's 30 characters it uses, 10 for a brand + keyword structure, 5 when keywords fill half the name or more.

  2. 02

    Screenshots, 35 points

Captions on every image, captions that name searched features, a first screenshot that shows the main use, one design system, readability at search size, and a trust signal.

  3. 03

    Ratings, 25 points

Up to 15 for the average (from 4.0, full marks at 4.8) and 10 for the count (from 1,000, full marks at 100,000 ratings).

  4. 04

    Freshness, 15 points

Full marks for an update in the last 30 days, falling to zero at 180 days. 85+ is excellent, 70+ strong, 50+ fair.

FAQ

Common questions

What is an ASO score?

A 100-point check of the parts of an App Store page you control: the app name, screenshots, ratings and how recently the app was updated. It's our own scoring rule, shown in full on this page, not a number from Apple. Use it to compare your page with apps that already sell well in your category.

How long can an app name be on the App Store?

30 characters. A common pattern is a short brand followed by the main thing people search for, like “AI Video Generator - OpenVideo”, which uses 30. Apple also gives you a 30-character subtitle and a 100-character keyword field for more terms.

Which screenshots show up in App Store search results?

The first one to three, when the app has no preview video. That's why the first three should cover the main reasons people download. AI Video Generator uses them for ai video generator, ai videos and effects.

How many screenshots can an iPhone app have?

Up to 10 per device size. Apple recommends focusing each screenshot after the first on one main benefit or feature. AI Video Generator uses 10.

Where do the download and revenue numbers come from?

They're third-party estimates for the US App Store, not figures reported by the developer. Treat them as a sense of scale. Growth compares the latest month with the month before.

Do screenshot captions help an app rank in search?

Apple says search results use text matches in the app name, subtitle, keywords and primary category, plus user behavior such as downloads, ratings and reviews. Captions aren't on that list: they help people who already see the app decide to download. When a caption names something people search for, put that term in the keyword field too.
